1) OMB Seeks Comment on IPEDS Changes proposed for 2024-25 through 2026-27

See the Federal Register posting [Federal Register Volume 89, Number 43, PP. 15558-15559] opening the 60-day public comment period on the request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for changes to the IPEDS Collection years 2024-25 through 2026-27. Comments should be submitted through the regulations.gov site linked above and are due by May 3, 2024. Details on the proposed changes can be found in the Supporting Documents posted on the regulations.gov website linked here: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/03/04/2024-04509/agency-information-collection-activities-comment-request-integrated-postsecondary-education-data

2) Custom Comparison Groups for Data Feedback Reports are Open for Updating

Create or update your institution's custom comparison group for your annual Data Feedback Report (DFR), a benchmarking tool to compare your institution's IPEDS data with your peers. Each year, the DFR is emailed to IPEDS Keyholders and Coordinators, then a copy is emailed to the CEO/President. If a custom comparison group is not created, a NCES-created comparison group will be used as a default group. While creating a custom comparison group is not required, a customized group may make the DFR more useful for your campus leaders. The deadline for creating your customized comparison group is July 15, 2024.
