Major Outcomes:

The Illinois Data for ALL project will accomplish its objectives by achieving eight outcomes:
ISBE Warehouse 3.0:

  • Remediate technical debt within the ISBE data warehouse.
  • Data availability will be expanded.
  • Data documentation will be significantly enhanced.
  • APIs and other event-driven mechanisms will automate the flow of data across the warehouse.
  • Automation of data dictionaries and (to the extent possible) data through to a secure environment such as IBM's CloudPak for Data (CP4D).
  • NIU will establish a secure data mart for the purpose of servicing multi-agency educational data for the ILDS. Comprehensive data sets (e.g., full statewide assessment records) will be transferred to the NIU data mart to be transformed for provision into secure environment such as CP4D.

ILDS 2.0:

  • Investigation of development and implementation of a secure and permanent method for virtualizing data into secure environment such as CP4D for multiple agencies.
  • Investigation of a secure method of extending the data sharing through a secure environment such as CP4D into externally connected reporting systems.

Major Outcomes:

  • Financial Equity and Return on Investment (ROI)
    • Expand ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) Data Warehouse to include critical systems necessary for analysis of fiscal equity and return on investment.
    • Establish budgeting, accounting, data collection, and reporting systems for revenues and expenditures at the individual school- and early childhood-center level.
    • Integrate student, educator, and fiscal data to inform analysis of critical resource decisions and how resources are distributed across schools and students.
    • Utilize expanded fiscal data in ISBE warehouse and ILDS data for early childhood ROI research project and for high school to college success ROI research project.
  • Instructional Support
    • Standardize data collection processes from local student information systems into the ISBE Student Information System.
    • Deploy a statewide Educator Single Sign-on (SSO) system.
    • Deliver comprehensive and quality Instructional Support Dashboard Suites.
