The target population for the 2008 public school long-term trend (LTT) assessment included all students in three age populations (9, 13, 17) who were enrolled in public schools in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The sample included Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) schools and Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS).
