The Bibliography Search Tool allows you to search for individual citations from journal articles that have been published using data from the National Education Longitudinal Study of 1988 (NELS:88) and the Education Longitudinal Study of 2002 (ELS:2002). For NELS:88 it includes citations published from 1985 to August 2010, and for ELS:2002 it includes citations published from 2001 to August 2010. The list of citations was derived from computer searches of online bibliographic databases (i.e., EBSCO, JSTOR, EconLit, Dissertation Abstracts), ERIC, as well as the NCES website.

NELS:88 is a nationally representative sample of eighth-graders who were first surveyed in the spring of 1988. A sample of these respondents were then resurveyed through four follow-ups in 1990, 1992, 1994, and 2000.
ELS:2002 is designed to monitor the transition of a national sample of young people as they progress from tenth grade through high school and on to postsecondary education and/or the world of work.
HSLS:09 is a nationally representative, longitudinal study of more than 21,000 9th graders in 944 schools who will be followed throughout their secondary and postsecondary experiences to understand their decision-making about courses, college, and careers, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math.

CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION; please email Kerry Gruber (kerry.gruber@ed.gov) if you know of citations to add.
