In this Brief, national data from the Parent and Family Involvement in Education component of the NHES:96 were used to examine school practices in relation to the frequency of parent involvement at the school. In addition, practices to involve families were examined in relation to school, family, student, and community characteristics that have been related in past studies to school practices and/or parent involvement.
