Summary

The State School Finance Survey consists of state-level data on revenues by source and expenditures by function and object for public elementary and secondary education for school year 2021–22. 

 The report includes the following school finance data:  

  • revenue and expenditure totals; 
  • revenues by source; 
  • expenditures by function, subfunction, and object; 
  • current expenditures; 
  • revenues and current expenditures per pupil; 
  • expenditures from Title I funds; and 
  • revenues and expenditures from COVID-19 Federal Assistance Funds
