NOTE: Standard error is abbreviated as s.e. Students taking the TIMSS Advanced assessment in advanced mathematics were categorized based on whether or not they took an AP calculus course and the level of AP course they took. Students were categorized by their highest mathematics course taken. The category "did not take an AP Calculus course" included students who took a regular or honors calculus course or an International Baccalaureate (IB) mathematics course as their highest mathematics course.
