The estimated population size for students meeting the 2017 School Crime Supplement (SCS) eligibility criteria is 25,023,000. “Bullied” includes students who reported being made fun of, called names, or insulted; being the subject of rumors; being threatened with harm; being pushed, shoved, tripped, or spit on; being pressured into doing things they did not want to do; being excluded from activities on purpose; and having property destroyed on purpose. The estimates in this table are based on a subset of the 2017 SCS respondents for whom data on school attended and bullying are available (93.6 percent of SCS eligible students). |
