Released Assessment Questions
If you wish to reuse, publish, or modify these modules, you must first obtain permission, by filling out and submitting a permission request form located on the IEA website. Access to the accompanying scoring guides for these modules may also be requested using the permission request form.
The IEA International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) has made available two computer and information literacy (CIL) and two computational thinking (CT) modules that were administered to students taking the ICILS assessments.
These released modules are intended to provide a better understanding of the ICILS assessment and can be used by educators, researchers, and other stakeholders in any number of ways:
- To inform discussions about schools’ CIL and CT curricula
- To explore the links between the concepts taught and how they can measure students’ understanding of those concepts
- To design an assessment for specific purposes
- To reflect on the performance of students in various countries, including the United States
