Note: School control used the base year school composite variable X1CONTROL, along with base year administrator response information (A1RELIGTYPE - School's religious orientation) to subdivide the private school students into religious affiliation and non-affiliation categories. Students who had attended private schools where the administrator response was missing or the school was a nonrespondent were included in the "Private with no religious affiliation" category. Variable X4PS1LEVEL was used to indicate level of postsecondary institution that sample members first attended.
