NCES 2018104 National Household Education Survey Programs of 2016 Public-Use Data Files
Three surveys were fielded in 2016 as part of the National Household Education Surveys Program: the Early Childhood Program Participation survey (ECPP), the Parent and Family Involvement in Education survey (PFI), and the Adult Training and Education Survey (ATES). Data files and documentation can be downloaded directly from the website. Data files are being released for each of the three surveys and are being released with ASCII, SAS, SPSS, Stata, and R formats available.

The CD-ROM includes all data files connected to data collection in Massachusetts: student, teacher, and principal/school files. These files also include a unique NCES school ID number that can be used to merge the data files with other public NCES datasets, such as the Common Core of Data (CCD) and Private School Survey (PSS). As these data files can be used to identify respondent schools, a restricted-use license must be obtained before access to the data is granted. NCES 2017120 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2015 United States public-use data files
The data files include the U.S. PISA 2015 data files for students, teachers, and principals/schools, and include additional variables only available at the national level (e.g., student race/ethnicity). The public-use data files can be downloaded and analyzed by researchers interested in conducting secondary analyses. In addition to the U.S. data files, the product also includes a README file, illustrative merge code, a Quick Guide, variable codebooks, SAS and SPSS control files, and record layout files. The data files are presented in ASCII, and can be imported into any number of statistical programs, such as SAS, SPSS, or STATA. These public-use data files can be used on their own or merged with the international PISA database available for download from the OECD PISA website at http://www.oecd.org/pisa/data/. The 1996/01 Beginning Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study (BPS:96/01) restricted-use data file contains data on a nationally representative sample of students who began postsecondary education for the first time in the 1995-96 academic year. These sample members were interviewed in their first, third, and sixth year since entering college. These record-level data are based on student interviews and other administrative data sources and allow users to examine topics related to enrollment, persistence, and degree attainment over six academic years, from 1995-96 to 2000-01. The file includes data from 2015 Federal Student Aid Supplement, which appended student loan data from the National Student Loan Data System through 2015.

These sample members were interviewed in their first, third, and sixth year since entering college. These record-level data are based on student interviews and other administrative data sources and allow users to examine topics related to enrollment, persistence, and degree attainment over six academic years, from 2003-04 to 2008-09. The file includes data from the postsecondary education transcripts (PETS) and the 2015 Federal Student Aid Supplement (which appended student loan data from the National Student Loan Data System through 2015).

NCEE 20174020 National Longitudinal Transition Study 2012 Restricted Use File: Sampling and 2012-2013 Survey Data
The National Longitudinal Transition Study 2012 (NLTS 2012) Restricted Use File (RUF) contains sampling and 2012-2013 survey data and documentation. NLTS 2012 includes a nationally representative set of nearly 13,000 youth with and without an IEP who were ages 13-21 when selected for the study. Among youth with an IEP are students who represent each of the disability categories recognized by IDEA 2004, and among youth without an IEP are students with a plan developed under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Both youth and their parent/guardian were surveyed in 2012-2013. The RUF can be accessed through a restricted use license agreement with the National Center for Education Statistics.
