NOTE: The universe for this table includes all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, four outlying areas (American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas, and the U.S. Virgin Islands), the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Department of Defense schools. This table reports numbers of schools and percentages of students. For example, in New York City Public Schools, 24 schools reported 20 percent or fewer of their students as other than White, non-Hispanic. Across the entire district, 85 percent of students were other than White, non-Hispanic.
