Major Outcomes:
SCEIP will allow policymakers to access data to plan more effectively. The SCDE will work with four institutions of higher education (IHEs) that house EPPs around the following outcomes:
- Data governance structure for educator preparation and educator workforce data
- Aligned P20+ educator preparation data pipeline
- Increased availability of educator data
- Accurate project documentation
- A dashboard accessible to stakeholders and the public.

Major Outcomes:
- Infrastructure Priority
- The goal of SCELE is to extend SC’s current SLDS to incorporate EC programs and enable access to data that can inform stakeholders about the benefits of these programs.
- To accomplish this goal, the SCDE is partnering with SC First Steps to School Readiness (First Steps), the Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs (RFA), and the SC Department of Social Services (DSS) around five outcomes designed to inform our efforts to improve education in critical areas:
- Data governance structure for early childhood data,
- An aligned pre–K to 12 data pipeline,
- Increased availability of early childhood data,
- Accurate project documentation, and a
- Data Portal accessible to stakeholders and the public.

Major Outcomes:
- Establish data governance structures to include P-12, higher education, workforce agencies, health and human services agencies, and other child care agencies in South Carolina.
- Facilitate and create P-20 data exchanges among educational agencies and institutions within the state and among other states so that data may inform policy and practice.
- Expand the existing SLDS educational data warehouse to include new data sources and new interfaces.
- Integrate educator data into the SLDS to facilitate assessment of educator performance and to inform teachers of their impact on student performance.
- Implement further data quality controls within the statewide student information system so that data are complete, correct, and meaningful.

Major Outcomes:
- Build and implement a vertical reporting system (school to district to state) that will be based on a statewide implementation of SIF.
- Extend SIF to transfer student data horizontally between South Carolina’s public school districts, between state-level systems, and to other states and higher education.
- Design and develop an enterprise-wide data architecture to include a data dictionary and a data model.
- Expand our state-level data repository to include EDEN data elements and expedite federal reporting.
- Implement a user-friendly reporting framework that provides researchers and stakeholders with access to the state-level data repository.
