Below, you can download zipped files of all available Machine Readable Tables (MRTs) in Excel and JSON formats from the Digest of Education Statistics by edition.

MRTs are designed to increase the usability and accessibility of Digest tables. The MRT files have a uniform design which allows Digest table data to be read in a standard format by software programs. Each file also contains table-specific metadata information. Those seeking to simply view Digest data or make a simple calculation can continue to access these data in a traditional table format. Excel versions of Digest tables in traditional format and MRTs can also be downloaded from the webpage of the corresponding table (for instance, see here). We welcome feedback on the MRTs.
