NOTE.--Data are based upon sample surveys of the civilian noninstitutional population. Percents based on 18- to 24-year-old high school graduates for 1992 and later years, use a slightly different definition of graduation and may not be directly comparable with figures for other years. All college students are counted as high school graduates.
