The United States Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools
The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) has been providing leadership and service to Catholic education since 1904. NCEA began to publish The United States Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools: Annual Statistical Report on Schools, Enrollment and Staffing in 1970 in order to fill a need for educational data on the private sector. The report is based on data gathered by all of the archdiocesan and diocesan offices of education in the United States. These data enable NCEA to present information on school enrollment patterns, regional geographic trends, types and locations of schools, student and staffing demographic characteristics, and student participation in selected education programs.
