In response to the coronavirus pandemic, NCES has gathered a sampling of relevant data, resources, and tools to answer questions that students, parents, educators, and researchers might have. This webpage lists common questions related to the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on education.
Topics included on this page range from students’ access to distance education to data on school finances. Resources range from text-based reports to data tables to interactive maps and tools. For example, users can access an interactive map with data on percentages of children living in households with broadband internet subscriptions and explore data on revenues of postsecondary institutions with the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Trend Generator. Additionally, this page includes resources created specifically in response to the coronavirus pandemic, such as a list of states’ plans for reopening public schools.
This webpage will be updated periodically as new data and resources become available.
This new survey provides data on how people’s lives have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The Census Bureau started data collection on April 23, 2020 and currently follows a two-weeks on, two-weeks off collection and dissemination approach. Please click on the links below for downloadable tables for each new data release.
