Following the scoring session, scoring staff archive the following materials for each item:

• scoring supervisors’ annotations on scoring guides, anchor papers, practice sets, qualifying sets, and calibration sets;
• documentation of scoring decisions;
• scoring supervisor training notes;
• wall charts and typed summaries of wall charts;
• backreading tallies;
• agreement reports; and
• trend scoring reports.

At a later point, instrument development staff and subject area coordinators forward revised (i.e., clean) scoring guides, anchor papers, practice sets, qualifying sets, and calibration sets to the scoring staff, who then archive these materials.

These steps help ensure consistency of training and scoring in the next assessment.
