NAEP Technical DocumentationWeighted Percentages of Students Excluded From the 2001 National Main Assessment

The table below shows the distribution of excluded students by reason for exclusion for the three grades. The dominant reason for exclusion from NAEP across all grades and subjects was a student disability. In general, the proportion attributable to student disability and/or limited English proficiency decreased with grade.
