This bundle map designates how assessment booklets for a NAEP mathematics assessment at grade 4 in a jurisdiction with a relatively low sample size were grouped for shipping and distribution. There were 10 distinct assessment booklets for this sample, numbered 801 to 810.

In the bundle map, each row represents a single bundle of booklets that was shrink-wrapped and sent to an assessment site. There are 14 positions (columns in the map) in each bundle; therefore, the bundle length is 14. Since mathematics was the only subject being assessed in this case, the spiral cycle was 10. Therefore, this map contains 10 bundles (rows). This is a “full-length” bundle map. This bundle map is laid out according to a vertical arrangement, meaning that the spiral cycle is positioned vertically (note that the first column of the map contains the full spiral cycle, ordered from 801 to 810). Each subsequent position (column) of the map contains the full spiral cycle, but the booklets are not in the same order.
