			Derived Variables for Geography in 2001 Derived Variables for U.S. History in 2001

Results for NAEP assessments are reported for groups of students defined by how students, their teachers, or their school administrators responded to background questionnaire questions. In some cases, the groups are based on derived variables defined by a combination of subject-specific background questions.

For the 2000 assessment subject areas (mathematics, reading, and science), no derived variables were created.
