Crisis Data Management Working Group

Purpose: In the aftermath of a crisis, education agencies need accurate data to inform student placement, deliver appropriate services, allocate disaster relief funding, and track student performance. The severe impacts of recent weather events and other crises have highlighted the need for current best practices related to collecting and managing education data before, during, and after a crisis. The Forum Crisis Data Management Working Group is developing a new resource that will provide timely and useful best practice information for collecting and managing data about students who have temporarily or permanently enrolled in another place because of a crisis.
