Misión
The mission of Yeshiva Chemdas Hatorah is to develop Talmudic scholars who have a mastery of the Talmud, both in its depth and breadth, by providing an intensive and rigorous program of classical Talmudic Studies, which is a composite of Talmud, Halacha and Jewish Philosophy, and is the foundation of Jewish learning and scholarship. Yeshiva Chemdas Hatorah aims to carry forward the chain of Jewish learning in a Yeshiva environment where the schooling is personal, rigorous and challenging. Some specific aims are: • To provide an intensive and rigorous program of classical Talmudic Studies, which is a composite of Talmud, Bible, Halacha and Jewish Philosophy, and is the foundation of Jewish learning and scholarship. • To train students how to study Talmud independently together with the body of commentary literature that spans more than 12 centuries of scholarship, thereby preparing the student for lifelong learning. • To have students complete the Yeshiva's program and mater a number of tractates of the Talmud, while retaining the skills to study and master the remaining tractates. • To put great emphasis in the program on the personal growth of the student in terms of refining one's character traits to measure up to the definitions and guidelines expressed in the Talmud and commentaries.
