EDFacts Reportable Programs
The primary purpose of EDFacts Reportable Programs is:
- To provide a means for states to report on education programs that receive federal funds.
NCES' EDFacts office collects data for offices all across the U.S. Department of Education. Most of those offices use the data collected to administer programs that provide federal funds to public schools. Some of these programs are required to report as entities distinct from the school in which they operate. To accommodate this reporting, EDFacts provides these programs with a 12 digit NCES ID just as it does for schools and assigns them a school type of '5 – Reportable Programs'. However, these programs do not meet the CCD definition for schools, they are not part of the CCD school universe and they are not included in any CCD reporting. The only data collected on them is their directory data. The files are provided here for those researchers who may wish to consider the broader public education universe or build a sampling frame that includes entities beyond the scope of CCD. NCES does not review or edit these files; they are presented here as reported.
If you have any questions on this data set please contact the EDFacts team.
There are no NCES products based on these data files.
