State-Level Public School Dropout Data

The State-Level Public School Dropout Data Files are constructed from data collected through the 2003-04, 2004-05 and 2005–06 Public Elementary and Secondary School Universe and Local Education Agency Universe Surveys. In addition to the dropout counts, the files contain the enrollment bases that can be used in calculating dropout rates.

These state-level data files contain the dropout counts aggregated from the Local Education Agency Universe files and the enrollment bases aggregated from the Public Elementary and Secondary School Universe Surveys. They are made available here as data files for those researchers who wish to compile their own tables, or perform their own analysis.
