The items below are examples of questions 15-year-olds were asked to answer for PISA. These problems are about selecting suitable food to meet the energy needs of a person in Zedland. The above table shows the recommended energy needs in kilojoules (kJ) for different people. [NOTE: A kilojoule is the metric unit for energy, similar to a Calorie.]
