Description:	The Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) is a large-scale international study of working-age adults (ages 16–65) that assesses adult skills in three domains (literacy, numeracy, and adaptive problem solving) and collects information on adults’ education, work experience, and other background characteristics. This web-based technical note focuses on the U.S. PIAAC 2023 Main Study. The technical note is designed to provide researchers with a high-level overview of the design and implementation of PIAAC in the United States. The report includes information on sample design, survey instruments, the data collection procedures, data quality, weighting, scaling, data analysis, and the nonresponse bias analysis.
