This Week In IPEDS (TWII)
1. Federal Tax Information (FTI) and FAFSA Data Use Guidance
The U.S. Department of Education has provided guidance about using Federal Tax Information (FTI) and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

in Higher Education Act (HEA) section 483 to include the administrative and business functions necessary to deliver federal, state,
and institutional financial aid efficiently and effectively to students.
These functions include, but are not limited to:
- Complying with mandatory reporting for Title IV, HEA programs, which encompass (but are not limited to) IPEDS reporting (20 U.S.C. § 1094(a)(17)) and publishing net price calculators (20 U.S.C. § 1015a(k));
To view a recorded webinar covering this information (i.e., FAFSA Data Use in 2024-25), visit the FSA Training Center. You will need to login or create an account to access the webinar. The direct link for the webinar is: https://fsatraining.ed.gov/mod/page/view.php?id=11998.
