This Week In IPEDS (TWII)
1) Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment Webinars
The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) has posted two recent webinars related to Financial Value Transparency (FVT) and Gainful Employment (GE) requirements. The webinar recordings and the slides of both webinars are free and available to the public, at: https://www.airweb.org/collaborate-learn/webinars/fvt. The webinar and resources are co-sponsored by AIR, the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), the American Council on Education (ACE), and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU). While FVT/GE regulations do not involve the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) or the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), NCES is sharing this information in order to help inform institutional research and other higher education professionals of these regulatory requirements.
2) AIR is Recruiting IPEDS Educators
The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) is recruiting experienced IPEDS Keyholders, coordinators, and data users to develop and deliver a curriculum to ensure the quality of data submission and improve the skills of individuals using these data. IPEDS Educators assist in developing and delivering IPEDS training, including in-person and virtual national workshops, online courses and tutorials, and other training materials for IPEDS survey components and data tools. Training is made possible through a contract with RTI International and funded by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The application deadline is April 5, 2024.
