This Week In IPEDS (TWII)
There are three items this week:
- College Navigator Update
- TRP Suggestions Available for Comment
- New Survey Component Pages
1. College Navigator Update
College Navigator has recently been updated with Outcome Measures data reported in 2017-18 (for students who entered in 2009-10), including outcomes by full-time/part-time status, first-time/non-first-time status, and Pell/Non-Pell recipient status. The data are not yet available through the IPEDS Use The Data page, but will become available this fall when all IPEDS Winter 2017-18 data are anticipated to be released.
2. TRP Suggestions Available for Comment
Suggestions from the most recent meeting of the IPEDS Technical Review Panel are posted at
https://edsurveys.rti.org/IPEDS_TRP/Default.aspx and are currently open for comment.
Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #56, "CIP 2020: A Decennial Update to the Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP)" that was held June 26 and 27, 2018, in Washington DC.
Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by September 19, 2018.
3. New Survey Component Pages
The IPEDS website now features newly implement pages specific to each of the IPEDS survey components, at: https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/use-the-data/survey-components.
Links for each survey component direct the user to component-specific pages that include helpful resources such as: training videos, survey forms and FAQs, glossary terms,

The Survey Component pages are intended as a one-stop-shop for locating the many pieces of information related to each survey component.
