Proposed Changes for the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 Data Collections Open for Comment

See the Federal Register posting [Federal Register Volume 81, Number 32, Pages 8181-8182] opening the 60-day public comment period on the request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for clearance for the 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19 IPEDS data collections (http://www.regulations.gov/contentStreamer?documentId=ED-2016-ICCD-0020-0001&attachmentNumber=1&disposition=attachment&contentType=pdf). Detail on the proposed changes can be found in Part A of the Supporting Statements posted on the www.regulations.gov website (http://www.regulations.gov/#!docketDetail;D=ED-2016-ICCD-0020). Comments should be submitted through the site linked above and are due by April 18, 2016.

Data Trends Updated

The Data Trends function (available at: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/Home/UseTheData) has recently been updated with data from the Winter 2014-15 and Spring 2015 IPEDS data collections. These updates include trend data on Fall enrollment, graduation rates, retention rates, financial aid, institutional revenues and expenses, and human resources.

Important Upcoming Dates:
The IPEDS Spring data collection closes to Keyholders on April 6, 2016.
