Changes to Winter 2006-07 Collection Components

The IPEDS Winter 2006-07 data collection opens on December 6th, and includes the following components: Human Resources, Enrollment, and Finance. Enrollment and Finance can be completed in EITHER the Winter 2006-07 or the Spring 2007 collections. Note that all forms are currently available at: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/web2000/WinterDataItems.asp

The Human Resources component has been re-structured such that the sections are logically and sequentially ordered and named. A crosswalk between the old and new part designations is located at: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/pdf/webbase2006/crosswalk_hr.pdf. Additionally, there is a new page for reporting faculty status of instructional staff, by contract length/teaching period and by gender. This new page is only applicable to 4-year degree-granting institutions.

The Enrollment component has been expanded to include a new column, in Part A, for reporting transfer-in students. This only applies to degree-granting institutions.

The Finance component includes no substantive changes.
