What are Sustainable Development Goals and how do they relate to education?

Response:

In 2015, all 193 United Nations member states committed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that the countries will use to shape their policies and agendas. The goals are designed to be interrelated, measurable, action-oriented, and achieved by the year 2030.

The 17 global SDGs are:

No poverty;
Zero hunger;
Good health and well-being;
Quality education;
Gender equality;
Clean water and sanitation;
Affordable and clean energy;
Decent work and economic growth;
Industry, innovation, and infrastructure;
Reduced inequalities;
Sustainable cities and communities;
Responsible consumption and production;
Climate action;
Life below water;
Life on land;
Peace, justice, and strong institutions; and
Partnerships for the goals.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, Quality Education, pertains to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
