Geospatial Interest Group (GIG)

FCSM’s Geospatial Interest Group (GIG) meets monthly. The purpose of the group is to share information on geospatial methodologies across federal agencies, to identify areas of common research, to coordinate collaborative research projects in those areas, and to disseminate methodological information related to geospatial data.

The GIG is gathering examples of federal practices with geographical data, classification systems, and software techniques. GIG is interested in expanding its contacts across federal agencies.
