‡ Reporting standards not met. Data are insufficient to report achievement
1 Data are available for at least 70 percent but less than 85 percent of students.
NOTE: Index of time students spend doing science homework (TSH) based on students’ reports on the frequency of science homework they are given and the amount of time they spend on that homework. High level indicates science homework assigned at least 3 or 4 times a week and students spend more than 30 minutes on that homework. Low level indicates science homework assigned no more than twice a week and students spend no more than 30 minutes on that homework. Medium level includes all other possible combinations of responses. Standard error is noted by s.e.
