1ISCED Level 5 includes Tertiary-type A and Tertiary-type B programs. Tertiary-type A programs are largely theory-based and are designed to provide qualifications for entry into advanced research programs and professions with high knowledge and skill requirements. Tertiary-type B programs are classified at the same level of competence as tertiary-type A programs but are more occupationally oriented and usually lead directly to the labor market.
