Network A

Network A is an important mechanism through which the United States and other countries develop policy-relevant comparative information on the skills of students and adults in their countries. The mission of Network A is to develop indicators of learning outcomes and to serve as the research and development arm for INES work related to learning outcomes. Since it began, the Network has taken a broad interpretation of that mission, actively seeking to promote the use and usefulness of indicators of education outcomes for policy discussion. As such, the Network both prepares indicators for publication and conducts development work to expand the quality and range of indicators available to policy makers.
