3 Parent's or guardian's education is the highest level of education attained by either the studentís mother, father, or guardian; if data is available for only one parent or guardian, the educational attainment of that parent or guardian is used.
4 Home language asks whether there is a language other than English regularly spoken in the student's home. Responses of "yes" are coded as non-English.
