Figures for the year 2010 are from "U.S. Interim Projections by Age, Sex, Race, and Hispanic Origin," http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/usinterimproj/, Population Projections Program, 2001 to 2050, and may differ from other published tabulations. Race categories exclude persons of Hispanic ethnicity. Counts of American Indians/Alaska Natives reported through the American Community Survey (Tables 1.1b, 1.2a, and 1.2b) are lower than those reported in the Population Estimates data series (Tables 1.1a and 1.1c). Data for Population Estimates are based on aggregations of racial/ethnic groups compiled from various Census Bureau sources. Racial/ethnic data reported through the American Community Survey are based on responses of individuals to a detailed question on race/ethnicity, which include more racial/ethnic groups, plus a category of "some other race". Detail may not sum to totals because of rounding. |
