What's New

Handbooks Online is updated once a year. Each update is given a version number which can be found on the bottom right-hand corner of each webpage. To see a detailed list of each item that has been changed or added in the latest version go to the Reports Page.

Version 9.0 Updates (Released September 2011)

• Prior-to-secondary school course codes
• School facility elements
• Updates based on changes to the EDEN data collection
• Crime, violence, and discipline incident data

Version 8.0 Updates (Released September 2010)

• Displaced student indicators
• Crisis codes
• Updates based on changes to the EDEN data collection (ex. harassment, restraints, and desegregation plans)
• Updates based on the Common Data Standards Initiative work
• Updated based on the National Education Data Model work (ex. meeting and improvement plan elements)

Version 7.0 Updates (Released September 2009)

• Attendance codes
• AYP elements
• Highly qualified teacher indicator
• Telephone number

• Staff categories
• Option Handbook Numbers have been changed to five-digits. Existing codes had a leading zero added to the start of the option number.

Version 6.0 Updates (Released August 2008)

• Two new option sets in Version 6.0 (FIPS County and MSA Codes) now utilize 5-digit option set codes. Leading zeros will be added to the existing 4-digit option codes in Version 7.0.
