Tuition and fees amounts for public institutions are the averages for in-state students. Tuition and fee data are collected in the fall and loan data are collected in the spring. For more information on the Integrated Postsecondary Data System (IPEDS) and IPEDS classification of institutions, see supplemental notes 3 and 8. Data were adjusted to constant 2009-10 dollars using the Consumer Price Index For All Urban Consumers (CPI-U). For more information on the CPI-U, see supplemental note 10.
