			Modular Weight

R2 and R3 reporting population weight files were created for each grade and subject by splitting the appropriate student weight files by students-with-disabilities/limited-English-proficient (SD/LEP) status and sample type. R2 and R3 reporting weights were obtained by adjusting the modular student weights by the appropriate reporting factor. Reporting factors scale back the trimmed student weights so that reporting weights summed to the target population. The reporting factors, denoted as RPT_FCTR (assigned to students) are specific to the reporting populations, which did not vary by grade or subject. Each assessed and excluded student in a specific reporting population received a reporting factor as shown in the table below. For non-SD/LEP students, a factor of 0.5 was used because the non-SD/LEP students in a given reporting population came from both sample types. If no adjustments were made, the non-SD/LEP students would weight up to twice as much as they should. For SD/LEP students, no adjustment was made (a factor of 1 was used) because SD/LEP students in a given reporting population came from only one sample type.
