NAEP Technical DocumentationWeighted Private School Participation

For fourth- and eighth-grade private schools, this table presents weighted counts and response rates for eligible schools. The weight equaled the frame enrollment divided by the school probability of selection. The weighted aggregations for the eligible schools for each school affiliation are estimates of the total population of students in the grade within each affiliation. Note that there are no weighted aggregations for twelfth grade, since no weights were computed for twelfth grade in 2003. The twelfth grade sample was selected only for pilot testing in 2003.
