NAEP Technical DocumentationWeighted Aggregations of Eighth-Grade Eligible Sampled Schools and Nonresponding Originally Sampled Schools, by Participating Jurisdiction

The following table presents student-weighted aggregations and response rates for eligible schools, nonresponding and responding originally sampled schools, and recruited substitutes for nonresponding originally sampled schools, for the NAEP 2002 state assessment eighth-grade school sample, using the frame enrollment divided by the school probability of selection. The weighted aggregation for the eligible schools for each jurisdiction is an estimate of the total population of students in the grade within each jurisdiction. States with Trial Urban District Assessment (TUDA) districts have two rows: one row for the TUDA district, and one row for the state as a whole (the TUDA district plus the rest of the state).
