The NAEP Database

			Creation of the Database Quality Control of NAEP Data Entry NAEP Database Products

Each NAEP assessment results in the generation of computer files containing

• NAEP assessment data for students (assessed and excluded), as well as

• questionnaire data from

  • teacher questionnaires,
  • school questionnaires, and
  • students with disabilities (SD) and limited-English-proficient (LEP) students questionnaires.

Before the analysis of NAEP assessment data can be performed, the data must be integrated into a coherent and comprehensive database.

The NAEP database contains responses that relate to or describe individuals or individual characteristics. All information in the database may be used only for statistical purposes and may not be disclosed or used in identifiable form for any other purpose, unless otherwise compelled by law.
