General Sessions

During general sessions, field staff ensure that assessments are conducted according to established guidelines. These responsibilities include:

  • clarifying student questions about how or where to record answers,

  • ensuring that students who have finished sections early have not gone back to previous sections or worked ahead in the booklets,

  • handling difficult situations pertaining to students' behaviors or attitudes, and

  • responding to and managing other unexpected situations that may arise.
