Higher percentages of AI/AN students at high density schools eligible for free lunch

One major factor making up a student's socioeconomic status is a student's eligibility for free or reduced-price school lunch under the National School Lunch Program.

  • At fourth grade, 73 percent of AI/AN students at high density schools were eligible for free lunch compared to 47 percent of their peers at low density schools.
