Quick Start provides fast access to NAEP data.
-
There are thousands of variables in the NAEP database. Quick Start provides convenient access to the major reporting variables used in NAEP reports.
-
You can choose to see just the latest year's data or data for all years at once. For other combinations of years, go to the "Advanced" mode.
-
You can see NAEP results cross-tabulated by two variables (e.g., by race/ethnicity data and gender). If you want to cross-tabulate by three or more variables, go to the "Advanced" mode.
-
You can perform significance tests on the data in your tables.
-
You can see all available performance measures for the groups you choose (average scale scores, achievement levels, percentiles, percentages of the chosen variable, and standard deviation).
-
You can print results or copy them to another document.
To produce a table of data, go to the "Select Criteria" screen, follow the numbered steps, and click on "Go to Results." From the results, you can create a cross-tabulation, choose another performance measure, or run a significance test.
