National Subgroup ResultsIn addition to presenting information about all students' performance, NAEP looks at the achievement of various subgroups of students. Examining these results reveals how these students have performed in comparison to other groups in the year 2003 and whether they have improved. When reading these results, it is important to keep in mind that there is no simple, causal relationship between membership in a subgroup and mathematics achievement.
