Major Finding
- Twenty-two percent of eighth-graders and 25 percent of twelfth-graders gave responses that were rated "Complete." The following is an example of a Complete response:
"One reason is the building of cities. The people use the rainforests as land. Another reason is for agriculture. The people find the farms more useful than rainforests."
